I think of Drawing as a device to create connections and producing visual attempts at gravitating freely over preconceived definitions.

I'm particularly interested in trying to reach a better understanding of the still prevailing divide between low and high art. Learning to discern their visual codes and how cultural or social conventions predetermine both our way of perceiving artwork, the tendency to overlook the full context of it's creation and the judgements of value that ensue.

Drawing from references of Art History with an emphasis in Non - western and outsider art, I explore aesthetic concepts, values and principles such as asymmetry, the unfinished or rusticity to name some, deliberately attempting to incorporate unconventional formal and technical elements into my work
