I think of Drawing as a hub which can be used to create connections with other disciplines and as a link between collective memory and our future.
Common threads running through this body of work are the use of Drawing disregarding preconceived definitions or boundaries that separate it from Painting, a gravitation in the limits between Illustration, Design and Art. And the exploration of the concepts of Death, Memory, Change and Renewal.
One of my intentions is to find through my work a way to create a connection between Mexico's foundational cultures' Art and aesthetics and the contemporary context while trying to avoid falling in the clichés.
